It Is Finished
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
It is finished, was the last words Jesus spoke before he expired. A brutal lashing and a price paid for humanity.
Join me on a journey for a moment if you will, what did he mean when he said " It Is Finished " The suffering was over, the torture and torment, the deceit and the revenge. He cried out Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
Jesus paid the price for all are failures and shortcomings, defects of Character, immoralities , impurities For we were and still are nothing but filthy rags. He came in spirit and in truth so that while we were yet sinners he died for us.
God sent his only son !
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.…
For whoever believes in him shall not perish. Jesus was not sent into the world to judge the world, but to save it, that means you and me and everyone we will ever see, he came for all of us.
Now we are his people and he is our Lord. If we truly believe that he is the resurrected Christ, and we are walking by faith and not by sight, we will encounter many things on earth, that require us to take on the character of Jesus and not the character of man. However its a constant battle to live, walk and talk for our creator because there was another rebel who denied Jesus and was thrown out of the heavens, he Knows the lord well, Satan was once an angel of light .
That brings us to relationships and powerful words, this brings me to a place and time in my life were words were the ministry to open my heart and allow myself to feel again. Awhile back in a very dark place, I met a women who had a relationship with God and she followed the tugs of his heart beating through her heart to reach out to me and shine the light in the darkness of my ways.
She used actions and words, Words like You got this, I'm proud of you, I love you. Words that were unfamiliar to me in the character of Christ, a carnal being of flesh and blood, just as frail and fragile as I was, only in different areas reaching for me to follow a completely different path, to let go of the worldly ways that had corrupted my mind, my body and my soul.
She took me to Church, and although I already attended that same church she did not care what others thought . She was following that small still voice inside her , that God conscience that we all have when we listen, and she was faithful in our friendship that God created, and she walked through the fire of hell with me, for several months. Although the force of darkness was strong , God was stronger, we went through some peaks and some valleys and in his time, He opened my eyes and opened my heart to receiving those words, hearing I love you from another women, a Christian women who had know motive, know reason except God showed her that I was worth the investment. Today, I also know that " It is finished " that all my darkness, sin , evil doings has been nailed to the cross way long ago.
I had known of God, of course I did, Oh God, just get me out of this one, Oh God, please help me, all those fox whole prayers must have been written on the palms of His hands, because one day the heavens opened up in my life and I was able to see clearly. That this was a miracle and that God uses people just the same way he sent his son Jesus to heal the sick, to save a adulterer , to change the rich mans heart. God will place the people in position to bless us and we will be rich in truth and spirit when we allow those who dwell in the truth to administer the truth to us. I had no hope.
Today you can touch the life of someone who is hurting by simply being a part of what is going on in there life, stopping long enough to show you care. Telling someone that it is OK, Know matter what you been through God makes Know Junk. I was shown love, and this saved me. This started my own walk with Jesus Christ. I know longer just used God for my selfish wants or when I was in so deep I could find Know other way out. This love was different unlike any other I had found before and it was because it was rooted in Christ Jesus.
Today, I speak victory over my life, I am a daughter of the king and you are also. Nothing you have ever done can separate you from the love of God.
Tell someone you love them, let them see God in you, When they look in your eyes let them see that spark, that glow, that something different, and let them wonder enough to want to find it for there own life.
Three powerful words. It is Finished. I love you. You Got this. I'm proud of you can take someone from the grave and bring about new life.
Dear Father, your ways are majestic powerful and not one human mind can understand your plans , we walk in faith Lord God and we follow the stillness of your gentle lead, We listen on purpose and we act intentionally for you . We follow the obedience that you are asking and we plant seeds, that rise up in the proper time of your harvest . Seasons come and seasons Go , let us touch one another, let us hug each others hearts, let us bear the burdens for one another, just as you did, let us walk together to that cross and place them there and allow you to have your way, Oh yes have your way, your will your way. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. We want to be your hands and feet, give us the power to administer truth to those who are hurting , alone, lost and scared. You can do all things, and we can too because you strengthen us.
